RTDC puts on a variety of performances throughout the year beyond the annual recital.
These shows are open to all dancers and performers alike as we look to offer as many performance opportunities for students as possible!
2021-22 Competitive & Performance Teams Auditions!
Join our competitive and performance teams for the 2021-22 season!
Competitive teams attend 5-6 competitions a year including nationals in June.
Teams also attend a variety of events and performances in the community and will also attend conventions.
Teams also travel for larger events, such as worlds competition in New Jersey, solo finals in Ohio, or dance at Disney.
RTDC Teams are focused on having a supportive and strong team bond as we grow and become stronger dancers and performers together!

Audition Times:
Ages 6 and under 11:00-11:45 a.m.
Ages 7-11 11:45-1:00 p.m.
Ages 12+ 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Student Thrivers (Ages 12+ only)
2:30-3:30 p.m.
Nutcracker Auditions!
Saturday September 11th
RTDC presents Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker!
Auditions are Saturday September 11th at the studio.
Performance Date;
Saturday December18th 2021
Prairie Lakes Theater in Des Plaines IL

Rehearsals;
Will be weekly on Fridays between 4:00-9:00 p.m.
& Saturdays between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
with possible Sundays if needed.
*Dancers won't have to be at all rehearsal hours listed above. An exact schedule will be sent out after auditions.
If there are days or times you can't make you can add them to your audition forms.*
With a mandatory final tech dress rehearsal on
Friday December 17th.
Rehearsals begin the weekend of
Friday September 24th
Dancers are allowed one missed rehearsal
(not including any extreme circumstances)
No dancer is excused from dress rehearsal

Dancers do not have to be on pointe to be in the nutcracker. Dancers must be registered in a weekly ballet class to participate. Dancers wishing to perform en pointe must be in at least two ballet classes and a pointe class at their studio.

Auditions are available for dancers ages 4 to adult.

Fees:
Participation fee is
$305/dancer
$335/dancer for dancers in multiple lead roles
Audition Times;
Ages 6 & under 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Ages 7-11 11:15-12:30 p.m.
Ages 12+ 12:30-2:30 p.m.
